Borobudur temple is a tourist spot not far from Yogyakarta

Although the location is not exactly located Borobudur in Yogyakarta because it is located in Magelang, but Temple is always visited by tourists who were visiting Yogyakarta. Located about 40 kilometers from Yogyakarta. Borobudur is the largest Buddhist temple in the world because many have relief and statue of Buddha in the temples. Until now Borobudur Temple is still visited by monks from across the world to make a pilgrimage because Borobudur is a sacred place for Buddhists.

Borobudur temple is very famous in the world and entered the 7 wonders of the world. This Buddhist temple has 1460 relief panels and 504 Buddha effigies. Millions of people are eager to visit the temple which is included in World Wonder Heritages. Not surprising since architecturally and functionally, as a place of worship, Borobudur is indeed intriguing, The name of Borobudur, as some people means a mountain having terraces (budhara), while the other says that Borobudur means monastery on the high ground.
